George Taylor, of internetevolution.com, has today blogged about the Manifesto for a Networked Generation, questioning some aspects of the 67 page document.
The Manifesto was launched last week by UK Digital Champion Martha Lane Fox with the aim of getting everyone of working age in the UK online by the end of this parliament, but George Taylor has some doubts about the benefits and methods outlined. Taylor suggests that there are many who are perfectly happy without access to the internet and have no wish to get online. He also believes that some of the named benefits of getting online - increased social mobility and consumer savings - are exaggerated in the report.
